mtl file from a model I downloaded a while back, Reddit will probably massacre the formatting: 3ds Max Wavefront OBJ Exporter v0.97b - (c)2007 guruware File Created: 09:45:52 You could even edit them in via a text editor. mtl is pretty easy to understand in a text editor, so you could check and see if it has the texture references, and if the paths are right. mtl kind of does- it allows you to specify filenames to use as textures- but the textures are not packed into the file, all you're doing is telling it a path to the file. obj and texture must have been opened togethor to get it like this.Īny help would be greatly appreciated.

I've reverse-engineered the entire file structure, but most of the contents of the data are currently unknown. Unfortunately, it's Windows-only and the file format has thus far been completely unknown. Pepakura is a very popular piece of software for translating a 3d model into a series of paper elements that can be printed and cut out, to rebuild said model.
